Lot Description  

One of the key cards in this scarce and popular set graded EX+ 5.5 by PSA. The 1950 Drakes issue was a 36-card set issued by Drake's Bakeries and featured images of baseball players in a simulated "television" screen predating the color Bowman issue by five years. Backs contain player biographical information and an ad for Drake's products (which sadly did not include the Ring Ding which was not introduced until 1958). Despite this a highly collectible card of one of the game's most popular players.
