On July 6 of 1948 the Brooklyn Dodgers defeated the Phillies 5-0 in Philadelphia behind the pitching of Hank Behrman. Shortstop and team leader Pee Wee Reese would go 1-for-5 with a run scored along with three putouts and three assists in the field. On that day this postcard signed and inscribed by the future Hall of Famer would be mailed from Brooklyn to an autograph collector in the Northeast. Part of a large lifetime collection that has been consigned to LOTG since his passing the signature and postcard are in excellent condition reasonably well-preserved with only the wear of postal use and long-term storage visible on the card.
