Perhaps most interesting about this N172 of Chicago third baseman Thomas Burns is the owner stamp of "J.C. Wilson" in bold purple typeface on the card reverse. Such owner stamps are desirable among prewar collectors as they tie the cards back to a fellow hobbyist more than a century ago. The card itself despite a bold image has been graded AUTHENTIC by SGC due to what appears to be trimmed left and right edges. Still the card is very attractive despite the grade.
