According to T206Resource.com the Cycle 460 back variety ranks #15 in overall scarcity just behind Sovereign 460 American Beauty 350 (No Frame) and Brown Hindu. Moreover in T206 scholar Scot Reader"s May 2012 revisitation of back multipliers his research indicates that the Cycle 460 back is experiencing considerable growth in popularity with the market paying a multiplier of 13 for Cycle 460-backed T206 cards.Presented here is a Cycle 460 example of the Walter Johnson "Hands at Chest" variety. Graded FAIR 20 by SGC the card exhibits all the flaws one would expect of the grade from creasing across and down the card face to general corner and border wear. The Cycle 460 Series back while dirty and somewhat worn is clean and unblemished. In reviewing population reports while it is difficult to determine how scarce this card truly is we can state that this is the only Walter Johnson "Hands at Chest" with a Cycle reverse out of 721 Walter Johnson cards graded by SGC. Additionally just two Cycle-backed versions of this card are noted on the PSA population reports (though there are flaws with both PSA and SGC pop reports when it comes to back varieties of course).A scarce example of one of the key cards in the classic T206 issue.Population DataSGC Population: 1 total graded 1 at this level 0 higherPSA Population: 2 total graded 0 at this level 1 higher**Please note that neither PSA nor SGC differentiates between Cycle 350 and Cycle 460 backs in their population reports so it is difficult to determine how few of the graded Johnson cards feature the Cycle 460 reverse.
