The Imperial Tobacco issue of 1912 is one of the most popular of all the minor league issues and the only tobacco set distributed in Canada. The cards areextremely condition-sensitive due to their brown edges and woodgrain borders; the player selection is typical of a minor league issue but does include four key cards in Hall of Famers Joe Kelly and Joe McGinnity as well as Dummy Taylor and Chick Gandil. This example of Hall of Famer "Handsome" Joe Kelly has been graded POOR 10 by SGC due to wear as well as heavy pencil writing on the card surface. Despite this the card is a difficult one to locate in any grade and is in high demand among collectors particularly type card collectors looking for one of the issue's few keys.
