Scarce Canadian issue which was issued by a Montreal candy company as part of a redemption offer. The redemption offer enabled customers to obtain a variety of baseball equipment which is what accounts for the scarcity if the cards today. The 30-card set included many popular players and future Hall of Famers including this card #27 of Herb Pennock. Often found in lower grades the Pennock is no exception graded GOOD 30 by SGC due to surface staining on both the front and reverse. Still a tough and desirable card type.
