Extremely attractive trio of cards representing the Yankees battery: pitcher Whitey Ford and catchers Yogi Berra and Elston Howard. Casey Stengel managed to find time for both Howard and Berra by playing Howard in left and rightfield; it wasn't really until Howard became the Yankees' regular catcher in the early 1960s that his career hit its stride and he had his most dominant offensive seasons. Listed on his 1956 Topps card as a catcher/outfielder Howard's "action" illustration nonetheless depicts him making a play at the plate. The card graded NM 7 by PSA would likely grade higher if not for centering. It is joined by a beautiful NM 7 card of Whitey Ford colorful and crisp ever so slightly off center. Rounding out the trio is card #110 of Yogi Berra a very clean PSA 6 with some minor surface wear and softer corners. Three cards total.
