Interesting 1927 Yankees' Payroll check containing the signatures of three figures important to that legendary team. The obvious signatures of Hall of Famers Jacob Ruppert and Ed Barrow grace the front of the check two boldly applied signatures in black ink. The reverse contains the signature of Yankees trainer A. A. "Doc" Woods who endorsed the check in blue ink. While Woods' signature is marred by the check cancellation stamp it is quite a rare signature highly coveted by 1927 Yankees collectors. The check itself is in GOOD condition with some creasing and a few minor holes and tears yet displays very well thanks in large part to the elaborate fancy signatures of Barrow and Ruppert. An excellent item. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
