Rare minor league issue containing six cards (including two different examples of Tony Lazzeri) depicting members of the Wilkes-Barre Barons (eventually the Scranton Red Barons) of the Eastern League. Lazzeri served as a player-manager in 1943 his last season as a minor league manager. Lazzeri who famously struck out against Grover Cleveland Alexander to end the 1926 World Series felt that the strikeout followed him throughout his career however his career was filled with notable accomplishments including a 60 home run season with Salt Lake City of the PCL in 1925 a .292 lifetime batting average 115 lifetime triples and an eventual induction into the Hall of Fame.
