A box of Hostess Twinkies cost $1.19 in 1975 according to the pricing stamped on this full box that once was to contain the tasty treats cost about the same today pound-for-pound though the ingredients list of today's Twinkies looks far different than it did 40 years ago. What was once simply sugar flour corn sweetener shortening eggs whey and similar ingredients has been replaced with things like partially hydrogenated vegetable and/or animal shortening high fructose corn syrup modified corn starch polysorbate 80 and such. But that's not why we're here. We're here because the box contains a baseball card of Hank Aaron and is a complete box disassembled and put away for storage thus remaining in VG/EX condition yet very display-worthy. Some minor creasing on the front of the box does not dramatically impact its eye appeal though the minod edge creasing does traverse the box and touch on the top edges of all three cards. Some minor surface wear rounds out the package and yet the eye appeal of this unique collectible is quite exceptional.
