One oftwo postcard-sized promotional cards issued by Old Gold Cigarettes featuring Jackie Robinson as an endorser of the brand this example is the "fielding" variety (the second example depicts Robinson in the dugout). Highly desirable and somewhat difficult to obtain this collector-grade specimen exhibits several flaws on the card front including clear tape at the bottom and paper loss at the top (ostensibly resulting from the removal of similar tape). Despite the flaws which barely disrupt the image of Robinson the card presents particularly well likely due to having been preserved in a scrapbook. A difficult and highly desirable card featuring the great Jackie Robinson at the beginning of his legendary career.
