This lot has been withdrawn due to questions about authenticity. Highly collectible pair of player-endorsed retail hang tags featuring Yankees Hall of Famers. The first of the pair was produced by Rawlings in the late 1950s or early 1960s featuring Mickey Mantle. Measuring approximately 2 1/4" x 2 3/4" folded the piece advertises Mickey Mantle brand fielders gloves. In approximately VG condition due to some toning and an upper-right corner ding this piece displays particularly well. The second is a hang tag advertising Amblers Leisurewear's "Big Yank" brand dating to 1962. Featuring endorsements from the "Big Yanks" Mickey Mantle Roger Maris and Whitey Ford this blank-backed hang tag measures approximately 2 15/16" x 4 1/8" and while somewhat faded with acrease at the upper left displays extremely well. The reverse of the piece exhibits some toning. While the cutout circle at the top of the piece appears cut off the same can be said for every example of the piece that we have found online so we believe this to be a factory cut. Two exceptional retail advertising pieces featuring the most popular players of their era.
