While many collectors believe the strip card sets produced by M.P. & Co. in 1943 and 1949 are among the ugliest card issues ever produced there is a certain appeal to the colorfully illustrated cards when in higher grade. These two examples of Mort and Walker Cooper cleanly cut from their strips and in apparent higher grade present exceptionally well with sharp square corners and bold color. While both cards exhibit minor edge wear and slightly wavy edge cuts these are both among the more appealing examples from this issue that we have seen.
