One of the more fascinating cards in the N172 issue featuring outfielder and sometime pitcher Tom Poorman depicted with the Milwaukee Brewers of the Western Association. Poorman was featured with four different poses in the N172 issue but this one was clearly intended by the publisher to be a joke; crouched to field a ball but looking more like a beggar Poorman's name is spelled "Poor Man " as if to illustrate that he was indeed poor. Graded GOOD 30 by SGC this is a more desirable card due to the play on words (the other three poses spell Poorman's name without the space) an excellent example of the sense of humor that occasionally came to light by the Old Judge editors.
