Spectacular example from the 1936 R311 Leather finish issue graded VG/EX 50 by SGC. The unnumbered blank-backed premiums were issued by the National Chicle company measuring 6x8". The "Leather" finish cards were more scarce with 15 cards in the set including team photos of the Tigers and Cubs. This example featuring the great Connie Mack is one of the few cards from the set that feature the "National Studio" logo printed on the card a handsome close-up shot of the dignified Athletics manager.
