Collecting print anomalies among the T206 issue is rising dramatically in popularity. Missing colors print scraps blank backs multiple strikes ghosts and other print errors while generally frowned upon in other sets are very desirable with T206. SUch is the case with this card - a Walter Johnson "portrait" card with two visible factory numbers on the reverse. In this case the card (which has been graded SGC POOR 10 due to a pinhole in the center) was originally produced with a Factory 30 reverse but later overprinted with the Factory 649 designation. The red block of the overprint meant to obscure the original factory number is slightly off-register however enabling both factory numbers to be visible on the card reverse. The remainder of the card presents particularly well for the assigned grade - color and clarity are strong and the visible wear is minimum (though definitely present). The pinhole directly in the center of the card is relatively unobtrusive because it blends well with the color of the card obverse. It is of course the print error that makes this card unique however - a very desirable Hall of Famer with a very desirable print oddity.
