Yet another example of how technical grade does not always tell the story with respect to N172s this card of Brooklyn outfielder Jim McTamany has been graded VG/EX 50 by SGC but boasts a stunning image. One of the outdoor photos taken of Brooklyn players the bleachers behind McTaman's outstretched right hand is clearly discernible as is the foliage in the card background. Simply a lovely example of an Old Judge card. Despite the technical grade this is the highest grade assigned to any Jim McTamany pose by either grading company.
