Exceptional higher-grade example of pitcher Henry Gruber's N172 card catalogued as card 202-3. Graded EX/NM 80 by SGC the card exhibits very little wear with strong corners and edges and outstanding image quality. Gruber who won 22 games in 1890 with Cleveland of the Player's League pitched just five seasons in the majors and later became the first professional coach to be hired by Yale University which occurred in 1892. Gruber became an American League umpire in 1905.
