Pair of postcard-sized photographic cards from the Boston Red Sox team issue, including a rookie card of eventual Hall of Famer Carlton Fisk, as well as future Cy Young winner Sparky Lyle. We submitted these cards for grading with both PSA and SGC but both declined to holder them due to their status as an uncatalogued issue. Nevertheless, we can reasonably conclude the pair most originate from no later than 1971 as this was the last season in which both Fisk and Lyle were simultaneously on the roster for the Red Sox. Fisk did appear in two games in 1969 but made no appearances in 1970. By 1972 Lyle had moved on to the New York Yankees. Both cards grade roughly EX-MT, with very light wear, primarily at the edges. The corners also exhibit faint wear from careful handling. Two cards total.
