Left-winger Gordon Roberts skated in the NHA from 1909-16 for both the Ottawa Hockey Club and Montreal Wanderers and was a leading scorer. From 1916-20 he featured for the Vancouver Millionaires and Seattle Metropolitans of the PCHA, leading the league in scoring with 44 goals in his first season. Gordon was renowned for his shooting skills, particularly for his ability to fire off shots from awkward positions for defenders and curve the puck. A Hockey Hall of Famer, he was inducted in 1971. This 1910 Sweet Caporal Hockey Postcard of Roberts, #33 in the set, exhibits rounding at the corners and a few chips to the photo's surface at the edges. A few darker areas of abrasion can be spotted on the reverse. Still, a stunning example of this extremely rare card. Graded VG 3 by PSA it remains one of only 12 graded examples across both PSA and SGC's population reports combined.

Please note: our printed catalog displays "RC" in the title indicating rookie card status. This is in-fact considered a second year card for Roberts, consistent with his C55 issue.
