Please note the error in the title for this lot in our printed catalog, which identified this bat as "game used." There is no evidence of use.

Louisville Slugger model B91 manufactured for use in the 1955 World Series by Dodgers outfielder George Shuba. Measuring 34 1/2" and weighing 31.6 ounces, the bat is uncracked, the model number stamped into the knob, a game-ready bat with no use. Obviously, the 1955 World Series is an important one to Dodgers fans and players, as the only World Series victory for the Brooklyn Dodgers. Memorabilia from that World Series is widely collected and in high demand, and player-owned items typically fetch high prices at auction. Clearly the 1955 World Series was important to Shuba himself, as he kept this bat as a memento for his entire life, though he recorded just one at bat in that Series. An outstanding player-owned piece of equipment, manufactured for George Shuba for the 1955 World Series. Assigned a grade of GU 5 by PSA/DNA, with a full LOA.
