The SGC GD+ 2.5 grade for this bunting pose shows fine detail in its main image, as James Kelly stands next to what looks like a pile of catching gear and there seems to be a waiting umpire in the background. Surface marks on each side likely hold its grade back from something higher, given the above-average corners. This "Anderson" team variation for Kelly seems a bit less scarce, with combined population reports showing eight examples vs. just three for its "Goldsboro" alternative!
This black-and-white, 200+ card T209 "photo series" set stands out as one of the largest ever featuring minor league players, yet is obscure enough to be rarely seen or discussed. Love of the Game is excited to offer a sizable number of singles in this auction, freshly graded and new to the hobby. (If these photos originate with the teams themselves, we're also looking at contemporary stadiums and grandstands from that era.)
