Mid-grade Old Judge and spectacular image for this Omaha infielder, one of six poses featuring Strauss in the N172 set. Dubbed "The Socker" for his minor league power, Strauss failed to hit as well against major league pitching and finished with a .216 career average.

This PSA VG-EX+ 4.5 grade could be even higher if not for a mark along its upper left border and an unrealistic grader. His central photo provides a clean, clear look at that classic uniform and what appear to be reinforced tips on his boots, perhaps to protect himself from toe spiking by baserunners. Note the dots along its top edge could be part of its original production process, as they appear on other N172 cards seen in the hobby. Centering and borders are excellent, accepting a tilt cut on its left edge. The PSA population report shows a single graded example for his #442-3 pose, and this is it!
