Sorting out the intended spelling for Whitacre (Whiteacre, Whitaker) will take longer than reviewing his major league experience, as Harrry failed to make the Athletics squad in 1886 or 1888, two times local papers referenced his potential with the club. Harry appears to have logged multiple minor league (or amateur) seasons without that experience reaching official records. He's a true figure of Old Judge history, preseved by collector interest in 19th century baseball.
The SGC VG 3 grade appreciates this well-preserved image and its near-perfect centering, with some corner rounding and edge notching explaining its technical score. Harry's strong batting pose and uniform details are worth appreciating as artifacts of his era, even if we know little about the man beyond his three N172 poses.
