A distinctive and scarce pennant issue sponsored by the Ferguson Bakery company and perhaps linked to the M101-4 set, as those two share player photos for known pennants. The known players include a number of famous and infamous, including multiple members of the eight Black Sox who were later banned by Kennesaw Landis. Buck Weaver played an ambiguous role in that World Series scandal, as someone whose in-game performance and awareness of plotting by his teammates made for a conflicting story, at least on moral grounds. Buck's photo remains attached to the pennant itself, with predictable creasing along its upper third. The felt and edges of this pennant look excellent and close to their original condition. This hard-as-nails pennant will hold a special place in the collection for almost any fan of the Black Sox story, prewar ball, or baseball history itself!
