Lot Description  

Engaging PSA NM-MT 8 -- the highest graded by PSA! -- hand-cut rookie card of Hall of Fame slugger Ralph Kiner. The precision of its owner's scissors work determines a Sports Exchange grade, barring issues with printing. The population report shows just nine encapsulated, so this be tougher than most rookie cards to find and impossible to improve on!

Sports Exchange cards came six per sheet and invited young collectors to trim and collect them all. This scarce mail order set was one of the first to show players after their return from WWII! Search our Love of the Game archives for examples of complete sheets with original envelopes and find similar HOF singles in this auction itself.
