The SGC FR 1.5 grade reflects worn but legible surfaces, modest corner rounding, and a notch on its left edge. Cards from this 1923-24 set often show handling damage when left unprotected, so the majority of what survives today shows similar wear. Just six Perdroso cards appear on the SGC population report, with two higher! Love of the Game is proud to offer several of this Cuban issue's top cards.
Cuban multi-position player Eustaquio "Bombìn" Pedroso made a splash early in his career by tossing a no-hit exhibition win over an American lineup featuring most of the 1909 Detroit Tigers and would beat a number of similar American teams in exhibition games as a member of the Cuban Stars of Havana and many other squads. His notable Negro League, Mexican League, and winter league play lasted almost 20 years in all and Bombìn earned Cuban HOF induction in 1962.
