Another of the PSA NM-MT 8 singles from a top-tier 1961 Topps set, now offering its Yankees singles in this auction. It displays the near-perfect attributes expected of a card at this level, from centering to edges to image clarity, and would suit any superior set or similar collection. A small ink shift along the top of its photo and pair of print fisheyes in the blue field are all that's worth noting!
While this qualifies as a Yankee card, it was heartbreak for New York itself, as the normally low-powered bat of Bill Mazeroski famously launched a ninth-inning homer to cap their back-and-forth game and take the series itself.
