Hall of Fame leftfielder Zack Wheat logged a tremendous career with that bat he holds so casually, notching a .317 average and almost 2900 hits. It took until 1959 for Cooperstown to call on him, which fortunately happened well before his passing in 1972. These T206 cards capture the young Wheat as he started that Hall of Fame career, with a youthful blush still on his cheeks.
The SGC FR 1.5 grade reflects its corner and edge wear, a diagonal crease at lower right, and surface speckling along the left side. Its Piedmont 350-460, factory 25 reverse compares well and features clear printing and deep color. This offers an accessible way to get a T206 Hall of Fame player from such a seminal set.
