Official proclamation from the City of Brooklyn, declaring Saturday, July 23, 2005, the Brooklyn Dodgers 50th Anniversary night. Celebrating the Dodgers' 1955 Championship, the proclamation was issued by the Office of the President of the Borough of Brooklyn; this example belonging to former Dodgers outfielder George "Shotgun" Shuba. In outstanding condition, the oversized piece resides in an 11 1/2" x 17 1/2" folder, the raised seal of the city of Brooklyn embossed on the front cover. An interior vellum page protects a graphic celebrating the team and then the proclamation itself. Some minor corner wear and very minor areas of staining are evident, primarily on the cover; otherwise, it is in EX/MT condition.
