On July 21, 1989, just weeks prior to this image being shot, Tyson had knocked out contender Carl "The Truth" Williams 93 seconds into their bout; the second-quickest knockout of Tyson's career. Part of a series of publicity photos captured while Tyson was shooting a commercial in California for the Toyota Motor Corporation. Measures 7" x 9" overall with photographer John Paschal's credit stamping applied to verso. A paper tag applied to verso and dated to August 4, 1989 reads: "Mike Tyson heavyweight champion of the world filming a special commercial for Toyota Motor Corporation of Japan on location in California in El Mirage, Dry Lake."
