This well-centered PSA VG-EX 4 grade has slightly rounded corners, a nudge to its blue ink pass, and otherwise presents well for its mid-grade level. His rookie card remains one of the key additions to any 1955 set or Hall of Fame collection and this offers a comparably affordable example for someone who enjoys its clean and crisp image.

As Topps and Bowman vied for baseball card supremacy in 1955, each side signed a number of raw rookies and "bonus baby" youngsters who teams had to keep on their MLB rosters for multiple years, whether or not they planned to use them. Sandy Koufax became perhaps the best of those signings, for Topps itself as well as the Dodgers. This two-pose card accentuates Sandy's youth and his need for patience, as it would take several seasons for Koufax to blossom into baseball's top lefty. Just don't let the questionable True or False cartoon about Cooperstown dissuade you!
