Extremely strong, midgrade example of the rookie card of Hall of Famer Willie Mays, one of the two key cards to the popular 1951 Bowman issue. Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA, the card is sharp and better-centered than most examples, with some wear at the right-hand corners and a slight bit of surface wear in the border at the top center keeping the card from a higher holder. A few minor surface abrasions can be seen here and there, mentioned only for accuracy. The card remains visually pleasing, however, an attractive midgrade example of one of Willie Mays' most desirable cards. Unquestionably the greatest player of his era, and in the discussion of the greatest ever.
