Two accessible cards of Hall of Famers who helped define the 1950s and rate as franchise fan favorites to this day. Each of them shows the love from a collector of its era, with enough care shown to avoid bicycle spokes and ballpoint pens.

Duke Snider played with grace and power with the Dodgers, helping capture Brooklyn’s sole title in 1955 and then LA’s first in 1959. His 1954 card ranks at one of the set’s best, thanks to its bright blues and green. The VG 3 grade reflects slightly rounded corners and toning on its back edge.

Ernie “Mr. Cub” Banks looks as enthusiastic as Snider seems serious. His rookie card remains a key pickup for the 1954 set and catches the eye more than many, as its light background downplays the off-center look Topps used throughout 1954. As with Snider’s card, rounded corners and normal handling merit the GOOD 2 grade. Each of them displays well and will be important additions to a low grade set.
