Very little information exists online about the Oglozinski Art Studio in Chicago aside from some print ads in photographic magazines offering photo retouching services. The Oglozinski studio stamp is embossed onto this real photo postcard of a woman in a full baseball uniform posed as if to deliver a pitch from the windup. Our research was able to locate a baseball scrapbook offered at auction in 2008 that contained hundreds of tickets cards pinbacks sketches and cutouts more than 120 pages in total. At the front of the scrapbook was this postcard; speculation was that the photo was of the owner of the scrapbook (whose name was Ruthie). Whether the postcard - graded GOOD 30 by SGC due to overall wear - was a personal studio photo of Rutie or a postcard photo of an amateur ballplayer it is likely one of a kind and a fascinating document of prewar baseball.
