Unique satin pillow presented to San Francisco Giants manager, Clyde King, during the Giants' tour of Japan in 1970. Gifted to King by the Taiyo Whales of Japan's Central League, the pillow commemorates the international contest between the Giants and the Whales that took place on March 23, 1970 at Shimonoseki Stadium in Japan. "Memorry of Japan" is stitched at the top with flags of both nations, details regarding the game, and depictions of both the Golden Gate Bridge and Mount Fuji below. Golden tassels surrounding the perimeter remain in great shape with some general soiling visible but mostly relegated to the reverse. Measures approx. 20" x 24" including the tassels.
