I have one to sell!
Composed by William J. Hartz "Husky Hans" was "A Stirring March and Two-Step" dedicated to the "3 times champion batsman of the National League." A quick internet search for Hartz reveals very little; it"s possible that "Husky Hans" was his only published composition. Still here it is a 1904 ode to one of the greatest players ever. Measuring approximately 10 3/4 x 14" and featuring a prominent photo of Honus Wagner himself in his Pirates uniform with the red printed cover adorned with a variety of baseball-related art this is a fantastic display piece. Once scarce a large number of copies of "Husky Hans" were unearthed several years ago and auctioned together as one group. Since then the piece has become less scarce. However the majority of the copies in that find were in poor condition with tears and creases throughout. This piece is in outstanding shape with only moderate wear at the corners and edges and light toning to the paper. The sheet music itself is also in fantastic shape. An outstanding relic that harkens back to a time in history when popular songwriters composed odes to ballplayers and player likenesses were used to sell everything - even sheet music.
