This striking portrait variation of Hall of Fame pitcher Rube Waddell also captures a somewhat anachronistic version of the St. Louis AL jersey. Their "dotted T" last appeared for official games in 1905, so T206 card artists might have worked from older photos or media guides when placing each player on their proper team.

The SGC VG+ 3.5 grade reflects slightly rounded corners and perhaps the tight space under its nameplate. This clean card is otherwise a memorable color combination and suits any mid-grade collection of T206 or Cooperstown inductees. This pose offers what Waddell himself failed to deliver, a serious face toward baseball. His eccentricities are as well-documented as his pitching excellence, but at least the latter earned him Hall of Fame induction via the Old Timers Committee in 1946.
