Sparkling clean midgrade set of 1966 Topps baseball cards. Known for its colorful, close-up photography and minimalist design, the 1966 set is loaded with stars and Hall of Famers, highlighted by the rookie card of Jim Palmer.  This set was carefully assembled by an extremely knowledgeable collector who is not particularly interested in ultra high-grade cards, but does want a clean, presentable set.  In this case, that's exactly what we have - a bright set with very few creases and heavy print defects, but lovingly handled with some centering issues.  A technical breakdown of the condition would be 3% EX/MT, 28% EX, 45% VG/EX, 22% VG and 2% GOOD, with the keys grading as follows: #1 Mays (VG/EX), #30 Rose (VG/EX), #36 Hunter (VG/EX), #50 Mantle (G - looks gorgeous but with a slight crease), #70 Yastrzemski (VG/EX), #72 Perez (VG), #100 Koufax (VG/EX), #110 Banks (VG/EX), #120 Killebrew (EX), #125 Brock (VG), #126 Palmer (VG/EX), #160 Ford (VG), #195 Morgan (VG), #255 Stargell (VG/EX), #288 Sutton (VG), #300 Clemente (G), #310 F. Robinson (G), #320 Gibson (VG/EX), #365 Maris (VG), #390 B. Robinson (EX), #410 Kaline (VG/EX), #420 Marichal (EX), #430 Drysdale (VG/EX), #550 McCovey (VG), #580 Williams (EX).  598 cards total.
