The size of the card enables the viewer to see incredible detail including the ragged uniform sleeves belt buckle turned to the side of the uniform and the supple leather of Ruth's fielder's glove. One of few action photos of Ruth to make it to a baseball card not featuring him swinging a bat or throwing a pitch the card is easily the key of the 1921 Exhibits issue.
