Important basketball card from this 42-card set produced by Kellogg's to promote its Pep Cereal. The cards are unnumbered, with biographical information and statistics on the reverse, the cards were intended to be mounted in an album, hence the unlikelihood of finding the cards in higher grade. One of a triumvirate of George Mikan cards issued in 1948 (the others being his 1948 Bowman and Exhibits Champions), each qualifies as a rookie card of the Hall of Fame big man. This example has been graded VG 3 by PSA, due to some surface wear, soiling on the reverse, and light corner wear. Despite the grade, the presentation is strong for the grade, an outstanding example of a more affordable 1948 George Mikan.
