Spectacular example of Patsy Cahill's N172 card, one of just two poses of the Indianapolis outfielder included in the Old Judge issue. Cahill only played with Indianapolis in 1887, even then playing in just 68 games. Cahill gained subsequent notoriety by being the likely player to inspire Ernest Thayer's famous 1888 poem "Casey at the Bat," when he played in the California League. The MK qualifier refers to some lightly removed pencil notations in the bottom corner on the reverse, and perhaps to a light stain in the right border. There will be joy in Mudville if you win this card!
