Another 19th Century player popular among collectors today due to his colorful nickname, Ed Crane was thusly dubbed due to being considered one of the hardest-throwing pitchers of his era. Crane was also wild, leading the league in wild pitches twice, walking 200 batters in each of two major league seasons. PSA has assessed just three examples of this pose (one of six different poses of Crane featured in the issue), and this is the highest-graded of the three. The image is extremely strong, the card itself sharp and clean.
