Pitcher Billy Crowell pitched two seasons in the majors, losing 31 games with the 1887 Cleveland Blues. He is depicted here with the St. Joseph (Missouri) Clay Eaters of the Western Association. Crowell's N172 cards picture him either with Cleveland or with St. Joseph, though he played with a number of teams throughout his minor league career. This example has been graded GOOD 2 (MK) by PSA, due largely to staining and markings on the reverse.
