One of just three poses to feature drop-ball pitcher Bill Bishop. Bishop signed with the Pittsburgh Alleghenys in 1886. There is some confusion over the year of Bishop's birth, as it has been reported in some publications that he was born in 1869, which would have made him one of the youngest major leaguers ever upon his 1886 debut. It seems, however, from consulting his death certificate, that he was actually born in 1864. PSA has assigned a grade of GOOD 2, largely due to a heavy diagonal surface wrinkle that is difficult to see in the scan but is more visible on the reverse. The MK qualifier is perplexing, but likely a result of some of the light areas of discoloration on the reverse. Regardless, one of the finer examples of an Old Judge card you will find at this grade level.
