As one of the key cards from a signature Topps set, this would also turn out to be Jackie Robinson's final Topps card as an active player. This PSA NM 7 grade reflects its strong corners, edges, and image, with little to no apparent defects apart from two fuzzy corners.
Brooklyn attempted to trade Jackie across town during the 1956 offseason and he chose to retire instead of suiting up for the Giants in 1957. He appeared in six different World Series with the Dodgers, faced the Yankees every time, and won once in 1955. The play shown on this card comes from August 29, 1955, when Robinson scored on a front end of a triple steal against the Cardinals. It's hard to imagine a better bookend for his legendary career than this.
