Simplistic in its design and featuring a spectacular assortment of both close-up and action photography, the 1977 Topps issue is one of the finest of the 1970s.  During the late 1970s, Major League Baseball was blessed with a host of aging stars, as well as an exciting crop of younger players, all destined for greatness. The result is an outstanding set with a large number of Hall of Famers and stars.
