A unique and under appreciated set, the 1955 Bowman issue attempted to capitalize on the fad of color television by placing color photos of the subjects inside a framed border stylized to resemble a television console. The set was innovative in its inclusion of umpires in the high number series. The cards themselves were susceptible to wear, the faux-wood grained borders prone to chipping, and the cards often victims of severe factory miscuts and centering problems.

Presented is a complete 1955 Bowman set, well-handled but not abused, with much of the typical factory centering issues prevalent with this issue. A technical breakdown would be 2% EX, 20% VG/EX, 50% VG, 21% GOOD, 5% FAIR, 2% POOR.  A breakdown of the key cards is as follows: #1 Wilhelm (VG), #10 Rizzuto (VG/EX), #22 Campanella (VG), #23 Kaline (VG), #25 Minoso (VG), #33 Fox (VG), #37 Reese (VG/EX), #59 Ford (VG), #103 Mathews (VG), #130 Ashburn (VG), #158 Hodges (VG), #168 Berra (G), #179 Aaron (F), #184 Mays (VG), #202 Mantle (G), #242 Banks (F), #265 Barlick (VG/EX). 320 cards total.
