Rare scorecard featuring first baseman Charlie Gould, also a member of the undefeated 1869 Cincinnati Red Stockings, the first all-professional baseball team.  Gould is also pictured on the 1869 Peck & Snyder trade card, a member of the Red Stockings between 1866 and 1870, before moving the Boston and the National Association in 1871.

This example appears in outstanding condition, with some very minor soiling most visible on the reverse.  Unmarked, the card exhibits some minor wear at the corners, and the typical folding and creasing near the spine. The image is strong and unblemished. Though Gould is pictured alone on a CdV, this is the only card-related image of Gould alone, in uniform.  A rare and important piece, chronicling the earliest days of professional baseball.
