The Conly Studios league schedule cards are extremely rare 1888 National League schedules that feature an actual photo of Hall of Famer John Clarkson, the lettering underneath the image identical to that of the N338-2 Hess "Big League" issue, to the point that some feel the Hess issue may have been produced by Conly, or by the Boston print shop responsible for producing the schedule, Alfred Mudge & Son. The Conly pieces are extraordinarily rare, with only a handful of examples known to exist, all featuring Clarkson.

Of the known surviving examples of the complete schedule card, all but this one feature a portrait photo of Clarkson. This example, featuring a clear image of Clarkson posed as if delivering a pitch, is unique. The image is clear and the schedule front clean, some mild discoloration visible on the reverse. The interior schedule pages are also clean. Corner wear is minor; aside from the aforementioned discoloration the piece presents as EX condition.

While some cases exist where the photographic portion of the schedule has been trimmed away, to resemble a card, this example is far more desirable because it contains the entire schedule. Folded to a finished size of 3 3/4" x 6", the piece is printed on heavy stock, and has survived in outstanding condition.  An extraordinary piece, the only known example featuring Clarkson in a pitching pose.
